The fifth of November,
Gunpowder treason and plot.
We see no reason
Why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!
Okay so before I go into a whole thing about how pretty the fireworks are and how I adore the atmosphere that Fireworks brings let us have a little history about Guy Fawkes (Yep I Wiki’ed!).
If you would like to know about the history of the event then please be my guest and go on ahead to Google! Click on the link for Guy Fawkes above if you wish to know more about him also. Even though I have a slight thirst for history I am not posting about it today. Maybe at a later date but not right now!
Right now we will be going back to the regular programme that contains FIREWORKS!!!
Pictures will be taken and posted as soon as possible but for now I would like to extend my love of the actual evenings atmosphere. Just think smoky sky, cute blasts of colour with everyone oohing and ahhing. People already have christmas on the brain and as it is so cold are already in the snuggling mood. This year I will be wrapping up in my warmest coat and snuggling up with my dog to watch the fireworks. Second to Christmas I think Fireworks night is the most romantic time of the year. Valentine’s day for me is a little overrated and people put too much emphasis on the day and the foofy crap that comes with it but Fireworks night is all about the possibility that something could happen, it is not expected nor is it forced on the public through tacky marketing schemes of a fat cherub in a nappy with an arrow. Fireworks night could be raw or no passion but either way it is beautiful.
On that note as I am still struggling with sickness I am going to indulge in some Mulled Wine and snuggles with the pooch – he is adorable and worth the hugs!
