This weekly meme is hosted by Sheila over at Book Journey so please take a look at her fabulous blog and book choices.
Another busy week has passed by and aside from working like a maniac I have been trying to keep up with my blog posts and reading schedule. The read-a-long for Anna Karenina this week has escaped me as I have been on an endless catch up to get some other books finished. All go, go, go and fun, fun, fun over here!
Onto the books:
Currently Reading
This tome is still tormenting me however although it is a slight hindrance I am still madly in lust with it. The characters and the class is just amazing. The drama is starting to burst into action and it is definitely a book that should be read by all.
This delightful bundle of joy I am happily sailing through and can happily say I am caught up in the whirlwind that is Issy Randall and the Cupcake Cafe! Such a fun book to read with many recipes to try along the way. ย Progress will be update in due course!
To Read
This has been on my pile of books to be read for almost a month now. When I have completed my list of Christmas themed books I will be moving onto this book as I cannot wait to delve into the pages. There have been a lot of good things said about this book and I am hoping they are true. I have never really gone wrong with a Keyes book so fingers crossed!

Very happy that I came to the end of this book (in a good way obviously!). The book was fun to read and nothing too serious. Just the thing to get you in the Christmas spirit. To be reviewed soon (when I finish my night shifts!)
Your Christmas books sound good! I love Christmas!
Happy reading, Fay!
Here is my my It’s Monday! post.

Have a good week. I enjoyed Marian Keyes’ book, although it’s not her best.

I love Christmas sadly this year I am working nights all the way from the 24th to the morning of the 27th so I guess I will be bringing Christmas cheer to my patients ๐

I also try to read something shorter and ‘fluffier’ when I am reading a giant classic. Good luck reading the rest of Anna K! I am so impressed by everyone who is reading that one this year. ๐

Totally agree! A small fluff piece is just what is needed when faced with over 800 pages of classic lit!! Thanks for the luck I think I will need as much as I can get!!! ๐

I read Anna Karenina several years ago, and I have to confess that I wished I had an abridged version. Tolstoy’s interminable political tangents turned me off! I did enjoy the story itself though. I can’t wait to see the movie (whenever it comes out widely in the US–I’m a bit upset that it hasn’t yet). Enjoy your week!

Tell me about – the translation is certainly annoying as i have one on my kindle and the other version is the book and as lovely as the cover is it would be nice to be transferrable!
When does it come out over there? I thought i was already showing?
Have a great week ๐

I absolutely loved Anna Karenina, but it took me more than a year to read it. It’s really large and can be plodding at times, but I constantly wanted to know what was going to happen next ๐

Oh good grief! I hope it flies by if I can keep up with the sections we have laid out! I totally get the whole feeling of plodding with it! But also always wanting to know what happens at the same time! ๐

That was the original plan for the read-a-long but I think we finish slightly after it has come out. I guess that can be a good thing as we wont be packed in with a load of people! ๐

I love a Marianne Keyes novel – I’ve enjoyed all the books I’ve read by her. And the Cupcake book sounds very interesting, so it’s going on my TBR wishlist. ๐ Can’t remember what else I commented, but happy reading and hang in there with the wordpress thing. Computers are strange.
