2015 Here We Come!

With 2015 fastly approaching the time has come to make the decision of what to wear. Have you chosen what you will be wearing to see the New Year in?

New Year's Eve Party

Although I will be working on New Years Eve and New Years Day I will be seeing the New Year in with my family and watching Jules Holland’s Hootenanny. What are your plans?

Primed For the Season – Blogmas Day 6

Something that I have never really paid much attention to is priming my eyes prior to putting on my eyeshadow. It is a tried and tested method by beauty aficionados out there and it is about time I paid attention and cracked on so my eyes don’t look cracked at the end of a day/night out. I have looked at a number of products out there and my one gripe is – why can I not find one that is clear instead of coloured. Being mixed race but on the lighter side of things I tend to find it hard to find foundation or beauty products in general to match. Luckily I have sorted out the foundation and concealer side of things but for primer I am going to stick to clear – much more versatility.

Look What I Found

Stila, Stay All Day Liquid Eye Primer, Primer, Eyes, Liquid, Make Up, Beauty, All Day Primer, Feel Unique, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

Still Stay All Day Liquid Eye Primer
£13 – Feel Unique

Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

£19.50 – NARS

Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer Clear, Rimmel, Exaggerate Primer, Clear Primer, Eyeshadow Primer, Eyes, Make Up, Beauty, Eyeshadow, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer Clear

£4.99 – Superdrug

The three products above are the only ones that I seem to be able to find and the final one from Rimmel being more affordable will be my most likely first try. Although I really do want the NARS version as their products really are just awesome.

With so many palettes waiting at home to be used it is the perfect time to find a base that will keep them in place for the seasonal events ahead.

Have you tried any of these and if so what did you think?

It’s A Berry Red Christmas – Blogmas Day 4

Believe in Christmas
It’s really beginning to look a lot like Christmas and with all the lovely deep reds around it is most definitely a colour that should be thrown into the mix to heat things up for this party season. From nails and lips to those luscious red bottomed soles this is the time to get dressed up and party the night away. It will be a Berry Red Christmas for all of us I hope!

Favourites From The Bunch

In The Red Corner, Essie, Nail Varnish, Nails, Beauty, Red, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

As you can see my Essie obsession will most definitely come in handy for the party season – light to dark and mixture of course.

#IMWAYR

Books, Reading, It's Monday What Are You Reading?, #IMWAYR,

It’s Monday peeps! How was your weekend?
From friends birthday celebrations to maximum relaxation my weekend was great.

Let’s get on with it!

Wearing

Russell & Bromley, Boots, Shoes, Fashion, Winter,

These beauties have been on my list for quite some time. If you fancy a pair get them HERE.

Ray Bans, Scarf, Zara, Accessories, Winter, Fashion, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

On the odd day that I had off and managed to get around Central I chose to wrap up warm but take my sunnies as there were some stray rays about. Contact lenses at the ready and I was away!

Using

MAC, Gently Off Eye & Lip Make Up Remover, Make Up Remover, Eye Make Up Remover, Lip Make Up Remover, Make Up, Beauty, Cosmetics, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

This product is one of the staples in my collection of cosmetics and cleansers. It is so gentle on the skin and leaves no dryness post application. It has had a little more air time than usual as I have been donning the darker shades of lipstick and need to remove them so I don’t end up with unsightly staining. You can grab a bottle HERE.

NARS, Audacious Lip Collection, Bette, Lip Stick, Satin, Red, Autumn, Winter, Beauty, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

Speaking of the darker shades this beauty is from the NARS Audacious Lip Collection, it was also my first step onto the NARS bandwagon that I am finding increasingly difficult to get off. Their colours are just so gorgeous!

Watched

Movies, Dumb & Dumber To, Dumb & Dumber 2, Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Comedy, Cinema, Movies, Entertainment, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

Not as funny as the first movie – but that is only my opinion. Still hilarious however!

The Flash, Superhero, TV Series, TV, DC, DC Comics, Comics, The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon Cooper, Barry Allen, Fastest Man Alive, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

After watching the first episode on Sky 1 I am absolutely hooked and find myself linking up to the states just to get my hit every week. Most definitely worth the watch especially if you like superheros! Geeking out over here and having far to many fangirl moments – well more than I would like to admit anyway 🙂

A bit of a slow starter – that is all I can say for now.
Look out for the review on Wednesday 3rd December.

Currently Reading

Foxglove Summer, Ben Aaronovitch, Fiction, Books, Reading, London, Rivers of London, The Folly

Ben Aaronovitch’s writing style is truly stellar and the series of books starting with Rivers of London are spectacular.
I was one happy reader when this one was sent through. Check out his books either on Amazon or The Folly.

Over the next couple of weeks I will be busy with events and getting ready for Christmas of course. This year I plan to be a lot more organised than last but who knows what will happen. My book selection might also change (only slightly) to those more on the academic side as I am studying for something important.

What have you been up to this week?

It's Monday but it's ok
