2015 Here We Come!

With 2015 fastly approaching the time has come to make the decision of what to wear. Have you chosen what you will be wearing to see the New Year in?

New Year's Eve Party

Although I will be working on New Years Eve and New Years Day I will be seeing the New Year in with my family and watching Jules Holland’s Hootenanny. What are your plans?

Books, Reading, It's Monday What Are You Reading?, #IMWAYR,

It’s Monday peeps! How was your weekend?
From friends birthday celebrations to maximum relaxation my weekend was great.

Let’s get on with it!¬†

Russell & Bromley, Boots, Shoes, Fashion, Winter,

These beauties have been on my list for quite some time. If you fancy a pair get them HERE.

Ray Bans, Scarf, Zara, Accessories, Winter, Fashion, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

On the odd day that I had off and managed to get around Central I chose to wrap up warm but take my sunnies as there were some stray rays about. Contact lenses at the ready and I was away!

MAC, Gently Off Eye & Lip Make Up Remover, Make Up Remover, Eye Make Up Remover, Lip Make Up Remover, Make Up, Beauty, Cosmetics, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

This product is one of the staples in my collection of cosmetics and cleansers. It is so gentle on the skin and leaves no dryness post application. It has had a little more air time than usual as I have been donning the darker shades of lipstick and need to remove them so I don’t end up with unsightly staining. You can grab a bottle HERE.

NARS, Audacious Lip Collection, Bette, Lip Stick, Satin, Red, Autumn, Winter, Beauty, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

Speaking of the darker shades this beauty is from the NARS Audacious Lip Collection, it was also my first step onto the NARS bandwagon that I am finding increasingly difficult to get off. Their colours are just so gorgeous!

Movies, Dumb & Dumber To, Dumb & Dumber 2, Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Comedy, Cinema, Movies, Entertainment, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

Not as funny as the first movie – but that is only my opinion. Still hilarious however!

The Flash, Superhero, TV Series, TV, DC, DC Comics, Comics, The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon Cooper, Barry Allen, Fastest Man Alive, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

After watching the first episode on Sky 1 I am absolutely hooked and find myself linking up to the states just to get my hit every week. Most definitely worth the watch especially if you like superheros! Geeking out over here and having far to many fangirl moments – well more than I would like to admit anyway ūüôā

Captivated by You, Sylvia Day, Books, Reading, Sex, Mummy Porn, Blog A Book Etc, Fay

Yet another triumph from Sylvia Day – check out my review HERE

the snow globe, sheila roberts, books, reading, blog a book etc, fay, blog tour, fiction, christmas, festive

A bit of a slow starter – that is all I can say for now.
Look out for the review on Wednesday 3rd December.

Currently Reading

Foxglove Summer, Ben Aaronovitch, Fiction, Books, Reading, London, Rivers of London, The Folly

Ben Aaronovitch’s writing style is truly stellar and the series of books starting with Rivers of London are spectacular.
I was one happy reader when this one was sent through. Check out his books either on Amazon or The Folly.

Over the next couple of weeks I will be busy with events and getting ready for Christmas of course. This year I plan to be a lot more organised than last but who knows what will happen. My book selection might also change (only slightly) to those more on the academic side as I am studying for something important.

What have you been up to this week?

It's Monday but it's ok

This set of beauties are my picks for essential go to products during fashion week. Now some may think that there are items that are slightly older than others, however classics never really go out of style. Comfort and style are a must when you are traipsing around shows and trying to keep your eye out for that one piece that really stands out. I have yet to have my New York Fashion Week debut however I am sure I will get there one day! Heading for London Fashion Week may be a bit more achievable for now!
There are so many collections out there of what to wear and how to wear it and some items are truly fabulous. Keep your eyes peeled like I am and grab hold of those wardrobe staples as Winter is just around the corner. From Primark to AARK there is such a grand selection out there.

What will you choose?

A/W 2014

Muted Autumn, Polyvore, Zara, Coats, Autumn/Winter 2014, A/W14, Mulberry, Alexa Bag, Chanel, Particuliere, AARK Iconic Watch, AARK, Marks & Spencers, Trousers, Camera, Wall Art, Etsy, Blog A Book Etc
The above is a little collection of items that I feel would be staple pieces of clothing throughout the autumn/winter season. Perfect for those one-off shopping trips or just strolling to meet the girls for coffee. Two of the items on there have seen me through a couple of winters so far with a slight alteration to one.
Mulberry Alexa Р£1,100
My change here is that I have the chocolate-brown Bayswater bag Рit is a classic that will see me through many more years if looked after well.
Chanel РLa Vernis Р505 РParticulière Р£18.00
No matter what time of year I always seem to have this particular colour in my collection Рeffortlessly chic when you can think of nothing else to do.
Winter Splash, Red, Louboutin, Christian Louboutin, Accessories, Shoes, Boots, Hats, Blog A Book Etc
The footwear from the previous set was left out intentionally due to my love for these red bottomed beauties and the accessories have just that touch of red so you know who made the item without asking.
The hat is not Louboutin but throughout the autumn and winter months it will come in handy for keeping those wispy hairs in place. It was around last season and will be for some to come I suppose for its clean and easy ability to just finish an outfit.
For a splash of colour on those dark days ahead these items are perfect (if you have the cash to splurge!) to jazz up any outfit and if I could I would with the outfit at the top of this post. Shoes and clutch for the evening and the boots and panettone bag for the day out.

What are your plans to jazz up or tone down your autumn/winter wardrobe?
